The Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery is accepting donations for two special cemetery projects.
CARILLON / BELL TOWER
A carillon/bell tower will be constructed directly behind the committal shelter once the final phases of the cemetery construction are completed. This metal tower will be approximately 40 feet high with bells that chime on a preset schedule.
AVENUE OF FLAGS
Approximately 35 flag poles will be placed on Navy Drive between the main cemetery entrance and the committal shelter, creating the Avenue of Flags. Flags will be flown from the poles to dress the cemetery for special events such as Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
