Featured Book: “Pepper’s Purple Heart: A Veterans Day Story” by Heather French Henry Craft
Activity: Color and press your own Purple Heart buttons with our button machine. Color and sign Thank You and Holiday cards for Veterans.
NEW THIS FALL! Our "Storytime at the Memorial" will take place one weekday AND one Saturday per month. Join us this Fall at the Virginia War Memorial for educator-led readings of children’s history books and craft activities. Families welcome, suggested age range is for kids 4 to 10 years old. Every month is a new theme and book!
Preregistration is not required to attend and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This event, as well as admittance to the Memorial and parking, is FREE.
