DESCRIPTION:<p>Join us for a presentation from Henrico County history teacher, Jim Dorton, on his pilgrimage to discover the story of his Great Uncle, First Lieutenant Walter (WD) Sutherland, a B-17 pilot who was killed in World War II. Mr. Dorton was graciously awarded a grant known as the REB Award for Teaching Excellence by the Community Foundation of Richmond which allowed him to travel to England, Germany, and Austria to discover more about WD’s service and his death. The presentation honors the service and sacrifice of First Lieutenant Sutherland and is a story of discovery, family, and loss.</p><p>This event will be held in Veterans Hall.</p><p></p>
