The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) has 38 offices across the Commonwealth to serve service members, veterans, and their families. DVS also maintains three veterans cemeteries, four veteran skilled nursing facilities (care centers), and the Virginia War Memorial.

Service Area

The counties of Charles City, Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Mathews, and York. The cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg. Also, the Hampton VA Medical Center

Hours

The Hampton VAMC Office operating hours are Monday-Friday (except Federal/State Holidays and scheduled training days), 8:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. Veterans will be seen from 8:30 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.

Customer appointments are accommodated Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and may be scheduled at vvn.dvs.virginia.govAppointments are highly recommended.

Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The Hampton VAMC Office will be closed to the public on the last business day of the month.
