- No Cost: USDVA-provided outer burial receptacles are provided at no cost to the veteran/eligible dependents. These are the same units used at Arlington/Quantico National Cemeteries.
- Families not wishing to use the outer burial receptacle provided by the cemetery at no cost should contact the cemetery to discuss other options.
Events
Holiday Wreaths
A group of local and interested friends have joined together to form the Horton Wreath Society. The goal of the group, which meets monthly, is to raise enough donated funds each year to purchase a live wreath for each gravesite at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. We appreciate your support and help, and hope to continue this honor in coming years.
We hope you will consider making a contribution toward the recognition of our veterans. Please make contributions to the Horton Wreath Society, and mail to Horton HWS, P.O. Box 6246, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-0246.
If donations are not sufficient to place a wreath on every gravesite, wreaths will be placed in garden sections on a rotational basis.
