Military Related Education Webinar Series

The Veterans Education, Transition, and Employment unit has partnered with the Virginia Community College System to offer a webinar series for further explore resources in our community to assist our military and veteran connected students.

 

Who Should Attend:  School officials who work with active duty, veterans, and other military related students.

 

This series will offer various dates and topics. Please select the date(s) and topic(s) that coincide with your interest. To register for multiple topics, you will need to register individually for each webinar.

March 7: Virginia Veteran and Family Support (VVFS)

March 21: Virginia Association of School Certifying Officials: (VASCO) “Who are School Certifying Officials, How can we work together? How can we support you?”

April 4: American Council on Education (ACE)

Initial Approval Training - For New Applicants

This is a mandatory training session for schools seeking initial approval to offer education and training to veterans and other eligible persons. Schools that have had their approvals withdrawn are also required to attend this session when they seek re-approval. This session is mandatory for all schools seeking approval. This training is also open to employers with apprenticeship or on-the-job training programs.

  • New Approval Application – We will answer questions and also accept completed application packets
  • Your school’s Catalog
  • Sample documents you may want us to review
  • List of any questions you may have
  • Any other documentation you think may be important for us to review

Please arrive early to give yourself time to find parking. There is metered parking available on various streets surrounding the Monroe Building.
