For municipalities considering standing up a Veterans court (in Virginia docket or track), or a Problem-solving docket with a Veterans component, one of the best resources is Justice for Vets, www.justiceforvets.org. They are a non-profit organization based out of Alexandria, Virginia, and a professional services division of the National Association of Drug Court professionals. They will assist jurisdictions with the planning and development phases, providing technical assistance and resources through their Veterans Treatment Court Planning Initiative, Mentor Court Program and newsletter, Dispatch from the Front Lines.
